JAKARTA – PT Elang Mahkota Teknologi Tbk (EMTK) has strengthened its control over PT Sarana Meditama Metropolitan Tbk (SAME) by acquiring 100 million shares on March 20, 2025.

All shares represent 0.58% of SAME's issued and paid-up capital. The purchase was made at IDR 320 per share, with a total transaction value of IDR 32 billion.

Titi Maria Rusli, Corporate Secretary of EMTK, stated that this share acquisition is part of the company's investment strategy.

"The purpose of this transaction is for investment with direct shareholding status," Titi revealed in an official statement on Monday (24/3).

Following the transaction, EMTK's stake in SAME rose to 79.04%, equivalent to 13.55 billion shares. Previously, the company held 78.46% or 13.45 billion SAME shares.

Over the past week, SAME's share price increased by 5.92% to IDR 314 per share. Meanwhile, in the last month, its share price surged by 9.52%. (EF/KR/ZH)
