JAKARTA – PT Temas Tbk (TMAS) has allocated a capital expenditure (capex) budget of IDR 3 trillion for 2025.

The funds will be used to expand its fleet, acquire equipment, and support its subsidiaries.

Ricky Effendy, President Director of TMAS, stated that this move is part of the company’s strategy to optimise performance and strengthen competitiveness in the shipping and logistics industry.

“With the strategies we have planned, TMAS aims to continue developing its business and offer more environmentally friendly and efficient logistics solutions in 2025,” Ricky said during TMAS’s Public Expose on Monday (24/3).

In addition to fleet expansion, TMAS has initiated a decarbonisation programme to support the government’s goal of achieving net-zero emissions by 2060. “This initiative is part of the company’s vision to develop new businesses in the distribution and green energy sectors,” Ricky added.

Moreover, TMAS has established PT Temas Training Hub through its subsidiary, PT Asia Marine Temas. This entity will focus on crew training and education in compliance with the latest regulatory standards to support the operations of future vessels.

Ricky acknowledged that TMAS faced a decline in profits in 2024 due to market dynamics and rising fuel prices, which increased the company’s operational costs.

“Nevertheless, we remain optimistic for this year with the various strategies that have been prepared,” he said. (DK/KR/ZH)
