JCI rebounds at end of first session

JAKARTA – Jakarta Composite Index (JCI) gained 0.21% during the first session at 11.59 PM WIB on Thursday (27/3), recovering from a decline at the opening of the first session.
During the trading session, the index increased by 13.42 points to 6,485.77 at the close of the first session, rebounding from an earlier low of 6,462.60 points. JCI had surged to a session high of 6,495.79 points around 11 AM WIB.
Other indices responded positively to JCI's gains in the first session. LQ45 was up 0.05% at 731.474, IDX30 slightly rose by 0.06% to 385.473, and IDX80 climbed 0.11% to 104.948, while IDXESGL fell 0.07% to 139.652.
Several big market capitalization stocks in the green included PT Barito Renewables Energy Tbk (BREN), up 0.46% to IDR 5,475, PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA) up 0.35% at IDR 7,150, and PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) rising 0.50% to IDR 4,020.
Meanwhile, telecommunications industry shares weakened, with PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) down 0.82% to IDR 2,420, and PT Indosat Tbk (ISAT) falling 1.66% to IDR 1,485 per share. (LK/ZH)
