JAKARTA – On Thursday, March 27, transactions involving foreign investors on the Indonesia Stock Exchange were once more concluded with a net buy. Foreign trades made a net buy of 383.21 million shares on the previous trading day, but today it dropped to 135.79 million shares.

Compared to the previous trading day (26/3), when the volume of international transactions exceeded 5 billion shares, the quantity of foreign transactions today was lower. 2.97 billion shares were purchased by foreign buyers today, representing the total volume of foreign buys. Foreign investors registered a net purchase of 135.79 million shares today, in addition to a sales volume (foreign sell) of 2.83 billion shares.

The net foreign of March concluded with a net sell of 2.38 billion shares today, the last trading day before the Nyepi and Eid holidays.

With 138.41 million shares, PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), the mining parent issuer, saw the largest net buy today. 170.19 million shares were purchased by BUMI's overseas investors, while 31.77 million shares were sold.

With a net buy of 85.55 million shares, state-owned bank PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) came in second place, following its foreign investors who purchased over 250 million shares and sold around 164 million.

Then, net buy volumes of about 52 million shares were made in both the renewable energy firm PT Maharaksa Biru Energi Tbk (OASA) and the energy infrastructure company PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI). 74.44 million shares were purchased by BIPI's foreign investors, and 21.5 million shares were sold. At the same time, OASA's foreign shareholders bought 11.54 million shares and sold 63.72 million.

With a net buy of 36.76 million shares, PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL), an oil and gas tanker firm, ended the top buy row. 52.91 million shares were purchased, and 16.15 million shares were sold by BULL overseas investors.

However, with a net sell of 192.83 million shares, PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA) stood at the top of the top sell list. The volume of shares sold and purchased by BUKA overseas was 244.23 and 51.40 million, respectively.

The most traded shares today were those of PT GOTO Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), with 713.30 million shares being bought and 776.29 million shares being sold. The shares of this digital service parent issuer had a net sell of almost 63 million shares.

With net sell volumes of almost 29 million shares each, the shares of financial services provider PT Panin Financial Tbk (PNLF) and real estate developer PT Pakuwon Jati Tbk (PWON) came next. Foreign investors of PWON bought 21.50 million shares and sold 51.48 million shares. After that, foreign investors of PNLF sold over 33.75 million shares while purchasing 4.76 million shares.

After 31.90 million shares were sold and 8.53 million were purchased by foreigners, PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA) shares made a net sell of 23.36 million shares, placing them at the bottom of the top sell list. (KD)
