JAKARTA - Bill Gates, owner of Microsoft and the richest man in the world, warned of the advancement of artificial intelligence (AI) technology that will replace the role of humans in a number of professional fields, in the next 10 years.

He conveyed this view to comedian Jimmy Fallon, in a podcast, last February. ‘This is happening so fast, and there are no limits,’ said Bill Gates.

Bill Gates continued that currently the existence of professions such as doctors or specialist teachers is very rare. But with AI technology, said the entrepreneur with a wealth of US$106.6 billion, everything can be accessed for free.

Meanwhile, CEO of Microsoft AI, Mustafa Suleyman, separately said that technological advances will change many fields of work in almost all industries. He acknowledged that AI technology can help humans think more efficiently.

‘But basically, this is a technology that replaces many jobs,’ Suleyman said, quoted by CNBC, a few days ago.

As previously reported by IDNFinancials.com, competition in the technology industry has been heating up since the beginning of this year.

A number of Chinese tech giants have released their latest AI models for free such as DeepSeek, Alibaba Qwen, Manus AI, and Tencent Hunyuan-T1.

Not to be left behind, technology giants from the United States are also increasingly aggressively developing their latest AI models. Starting from AI models made by Google, Microsoft, OpenAI, X, and Meta. (KR/LM)
