PTBA recorded 16.4% net profit decline in 2024

JAKARTA - Coal and energy mining company PT Bukit Asam Tbk (PTBA) recorded a net profit of IDR 5.1 trillion in 2024, down 16.41% from the previous year which reached IDR 6.1 trillion.
According to the latest financial report, the company continued to show positive performance with significant revenue growth. PTBA's revenue increased 11.1% from IDR38.4 trillion to IDR42.7 trillion in 2024.
The largest revenue still came from coal sales which reached IDR42.08 trillion in 2024, compared to IDR38.4 trillion in the previous year.
On the other hand, despite the increase in revenue, the company's operating expenses have also increased, with cost of revenue increasing from IDR29.3 trillion in 2023 to IDR34.5 trillion in 2024.
According to IDNFinancials.com data, PTBA managed to record a 7.79% increase in total assets to IDR 41.78 trillion as of 31 December 2024. Meanwhile, total equity also increased to IDR 22.64 trillion from IDR 21.5 trillion in the previous year. (DH/LM)
