JAKARTA - PT Bank Syariah Indonesia Tbk (BRIS) recorded a net profit as of February 2025 of IDR 1.16 trillion, an increase of around 10% compared to the same period the previous year.

Previously, in January 2025 BSI's annual profit growth reached 15% with a profit of IDR590 billion. This means that there was a slowdown in profit growth in February 2025.

In line with BSI's annual profit growth, commission or fee-based income increased significantly by 71.05% on an annual basis to IDR516.73 billion.

On the other hand, the company recorded an increase in provision expenses in the same period which was recorded at IDR487.25 billion or up 26.62% on an annual basis. The company also disbursed financing in the first two months of this year worth Rp282.05 trillion. Meanwhile, BSI's total third-party funds (DPK) reached IDR 318.99 trillion, up around 10% on an annual basis.

According to IDNFinancials data, BRIS' share price has corrected by 14.29% year-to-date, with a share price of IDR 2,340 per share.(DH/LM)
