Megapratama Karya annexes 10% of Siloam Hospitals' (SILO) shares

On Tuesday, June 4, market hints began with PT Megapratama Karya Persada purchasing 1.35 billion shares of health service provider PT Siloam International Hospitals Tbk (SILO). Following the completion of the transaction facilitated by PT Ciptadana Sekuritas Asia, this new investor received an immediate share ownership of 10.4%. On the other hand, the controller of PT Hotel Candi Baru made a large-scale share reduction by selling 7.84 billion shares of the herbal medicine and pharmaceutical company PT Industri Jamu Dan Farmasi Sido Muncul Tbk (SIDO). This investor previously owned 68.14% but now only owns approximately 42%.

Foreign selling volume on Wednesday, June 5, was still larger at 3.03 billion shares than foreign buying volume, which was 2.51 billion. As a result, net foreign volume remained unchanged in the red zone, closing at -513.29 million shares. The telecoms business PT Telkom Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (TLKM) had the most shares purchased, with 110.02 million shares and a net volume of 30.24 million shares. The gap between the foreign buying volume of 3.26 billion shares and foreign selling volume of 4.45 billion shares resulted in net foreign volume falling to -1.18 billion shares. PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) shares remained in first place in the top sell list, unchanged from the previous day, with 2.25 billion shares sold and a net volume of -1.24 billion shares.
