PT Karya Pacific Investama made the decision to officially start a new investment in PT MNC Energy Investments Tbk (IATA), a business owned by MNC Group that deals in energy trading and investment, on Tuesday, November 26. This new investor promptly acquired over 6.28 billion shares through PT UOB Kay Hian Sekuritas, giving them a 24.91% ownership stake. However, by releasing about 3.55 billion IATA shares through PT MNC Sekuritas, the former IATA controller, PT MNC Asia Holding Tbk, decreased its shares from 44.08% to 30%.
