BPS recorded decline in foreign tourists' travel

The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded the number of national tourist trips (wisnas) in August 2024 to be 648.11 thousand, down 29.38% from 917.8 thousand in July 2024.

Statistics Indonesia (BPS) reported increased foreign tourist visits from January to May 2024. Their visits gradually increase following the subsiding cases of COVID-19.
