The Central Statistics Agency (BPS) recorded that the trade balance surplus fell 14.12% to US$28.85 billion during January-November 2024 compared to the same period in 2023 of US$33.60 billion.

The trade of balance reached surplus of USD 2.91 billion in March 2023. However, it was still lower than March 2022’s surplus of USD 4.54 billion. This decline is seen for the first time since the beginning of the COVID-19 pandemic in 2020.
