SIMP net profit slips 39%

PT Salim Ivomas Pratama Tbk (SIMP) recorded a 39% decline in net profit throughout 2023 due to the decline in the average price of palm oil products. CPO production volume fell 4% to 708 thousand tons and Fresh Fruit Bunches (FFB) fell 1% to 2.78 million tons.

At first, this investor purchased 161.37 million shares of the cosmetics and home appliances manufacturer PT Estee Gold Feet Tbk (EURO). It gained control of 6.33% of the company through purchases conducted by three securities firms. Additionally, this investor purchased 62.18 million shares, or 6.22% control, in PT Sumber Energi Andalan Tbk (ITMA), a consulting services provider for the mining and energy industries. This transaction was carried out via four distinct securities firms.

On Tuesday, February 27, foreign investors were actively selling shares, making the foreign sales volume surge to around 4.15 billion shares. With foreign buying volume at only 3.02 billion shares, net foreign volume dropped dramatically to -1.12 billion shares. As on the previous day, the most sold shares were those of the digital company PT GoTo Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO), with 2.09 billion shares sold and a net volume of -1.04 billion shares.
