PT Pembangunan Graha Lestari Indah Tbk (PGLI) was founded in Medan on 3rd of March 1994 as a general contractor company. The initial project was Westin Apartment in Medan in 1994, which was turned into a hotel named Quality Suites Medan. Subsequently, the company switched to the hotel and hospitality industry. The hotel changed its name to Travellers Suites Medan in 2004 and became a 4-star hotel. The company also established new subsidiaries, namely PT Aek Simonggo Energy, PT Belida Karya Lestari, PT Sei Wampu Energy, and PT Boga Abadi Prima, that expanded the business into power plants and restaurants.
