JAKARTA - Agung Sedayu Group and Salim Group collaborate in developing a new project of Syariah Tower in Pantai Indah Kapuk 2 (PIK 2), Pluit, North Jakarta. The investment is about Rp 3.5 trillion to build the tower.
Harianto Solichin, President Director of PT Nikko Sekuritas, a subsidiary company of Salim Group, stated that the Syariah Tower project was located in Pantai Indah Kapuk 2, which was on an area around 23.5 hectares (Ha). "This Sharia Tower will take approximately 1.4 hectares from the plan of the first construction out of 3.6 hectares," he said.
They are also in synergy with Malaysian Investor, Matrix Concepts Holdings Berhad, and with this collaboration, he feels confident to work on some more projects in years up ahead.
"Currently, in this world, the assets of Islamic Finance is about US$ 2.4 trillion, which is approximately 20 times more than the Republic of Indonesia's foreign exchange reserves. It has been planned that in 2025, the assets will be US$ 3.8 trillion. Of such large assets, 71% of the assets are the assets of Islamic Banking; and the secondly large assets is sukuk, about 16%," he said.
Solichin mentioned that with this Syariah Tower in PIK2, it would become an icon of Islamic Financing in Indonesia. Islamic Financial District will also be a place for many syariah businesses in PIK2, Indonesia. (LK/W)
