JAKARTA - PT Mitradaya Telekomunikasi Tbk (MTEL) accelerates the construction of 30 telecommunication towers in the Capital City of the Nation (IKN), East Kalimantan.
Theodorus Ardi Hartoko, President Director of MTEL, stated that they will build 30 towers in the first phase in the Core Government Center Area (KIPP) of IKN. "This should be completedby June 2024. Some are already finished, and by August 17, 2024, we expect them to be operational," he said during a public presentation in Jakarta.
According to him, MTEL is mobilizing all resources to meet the telecommunications infrastructure needs in KIPP IKN. This move aligns with the government's target to relocate the capital city to East Kalimantan.
Additionally, this company already owns 38,000 towers and 57,000 tenants as of the first quarterof 2024. The addition of telecommunication towers will be accelerated in several locations by the end of this year. (LK/W)
