Net buy 533 million shares due to rising foreign buying volume

JAKARTA – On Wednesday, March 5, foreign investor transactions on the Indonesia Stock Exchange showed a net buy. Today ended with a comparatively large net buy of 533.45 million shares, compared to 264.21 million shares of foreign net sale transactions on the previous trading day.
While foreign buying volume has grown from the previous trading day (4 March), foreign selling volume is relatively stable today. 4.35 billion shares were purchased by foreign buyers today, representing the total volume of foreign buys. Today, foreign investors registered a net buy of 533.45 million shares, with a sales volume (foreign sell) of 3.82 billion shares.
With a net buy of 253.92 million shares, GOTO shares from PT Gojek Tokopedia Tbk are at the top of today's top buy list. Foreign investors purchased a total of 1.81 billion shares of this digital service firm, while 1.55 billion were also sold.
After foreigners purchased 96.99 million of the chemical company's shares but only sold 40,800, PT Sinergi Multi Lestarindo Tbk (SMLE) came in second with a net buy of 96.95 million shares. A net buy of 85.19 million shares of PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI), an energy infrastructure company, came next. With 3.76 million shares sold, this issuer's foreign buy volume was 88.95 million.
With a net buy of 55.37 million shares, the oil and gas tanker firm PT Buana Lintas Lautan Tbk (BULL) had 4.73 million shares sold and around 60 million shares purchased by foreigners. Finally, PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) made a net buy of 38.26 million shares after foreigners purchased 258.56 million shares and sold 220 million.
However, two mining companies, PT Darma Henwa Tbk (DEWA) and PT Bumi Resources Tbk (BUMI), once again topped the list of top sells. BUMI saw a net sell of 85.20 million shares, while DEWA saw 75.08 million. In addition to releasing 180.93 million shares, foreigners purchased 95.73 million BMRI shares. Then, foreigners sold more than 88.76 million DEWA while purchasing 13.65 million.
With a net sell of 25.91 million shares, metal ore mining issuer PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) came in third. 14.10 million shares were purchased by foreigners, while 40 million shares were sold.
MAPA and BRMS are the final two stocks on the top sell list. In the retail company PT MAP Aktif Adiperkasa Tbk (MAPA), foreigners purchased 10.84 million shares and sold 33.83 million shares. Furthermore, PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS), a mineral mining issuer, saw the release of 48.62 million shares and the purchase of 25.71 million shares by foreigners. With BRMS at the bottom, both issuers ended up with a net sell of around 22.9 million shares. (KD)
