JAKARTA – PT Sarana Mitra Luas Tbk (SMIL), a forklift rental company, is targeting double-digit revenue and net profit growth in 2025. Several expansion strategies have been prepared to support this goal.

Ridwan Syah, Head of Investor Relations at SMIL, revealed that the company is aiming for a revenue increase of between 20–25% year-on-year (yoy) this year.

"SMIL's revenue in 2025 is estimated to be in the range of IDR 432 billion to IDR 450 billion," said Ridwan, in a public disclosure on Thursday (13/3).

On the bottom line, SMIL is targeting net profit to grow to IDR 100–110 billion in 2025. In the previous year, the company’s net profit was estimated to be between IDR 80–90 billion, and for 2025, SMIL is aiming to achieve a net profit of around IDR 100–110 billion.

To achieve this target, SMIL plans to strengthen its market presence, both in terms of operational regions and adding new customers. Most recently, SMIL secured a contract commitment with one of Indonesia’s largest cigarette companies.

"In addition, SMIL also plans to expand its business coverage to the Sulawesi and Kalimantan regions to enhance market penetration," he added.

Besides expansion, SMIL is also focusing on increasing its forklift fleet, especially electric forklifts. This expansion is expected to be more profitable as the rental prices for electric forklifts are higher, while their operational costs are lower compared to diesel forklifts, which rely on fuel oil.

"These expansion steps further solidify SMIL's business fundamentals," he said.

As of Thursday (13/3) morning trading, SMIL's stock price fell by 1.70% to IDR 346 per share by 10:16 WIB. However, over the last 5 trading days, its stock price has risen by 26.28%. (DK/KR/ZH)
