Foreign transaction increases, net buy 187.39 million shares

JAKARTA - On Thursday, March 20, transactions involving foreign investors ended with a net buy on the Indonesia Stock Exchange. Foreign transactions that net sold 261.50 million shares on the previous trading day have now moved to the green zone, with a net buy of 187.39 million shares.
Compared to the previous trading day (19 March), when both the purchasing and selling volumes were below 3.5 billion shares, the volume of international transactions today increased. 3.92 billion shares were purchased by foreign buyers today, representing the total volume of foreign buys. Today, foreign investors registered a net buy of 187.39 million shares, with a sales volume (foreign sell) of 3.74 billion shares.
At 214.20 million shares, the IDX reported the greatest net buy from digital service issuer PT GOTO Gojek Tokopedia Tbk (GOTO) today. With 1.53 billion shares purchased and 1.31 billion shares traded, GOTO also had the largest volume of foreign transactions.
A net buy of 202.82 million shares of PT Bukalapak.com Tbk (BUKA), another digital business, came next. Only 90.52 million BUKA shares were sold by foreigners, compared to about 293.35 million that were purchased.
Following that were PT J Resources Asia Pasifik Tbk (PSAB), with a net buy of 56.20 million shares, and PT Astrindo Nusantara Infrastruktur Tbk (BIPI), with 67.23 million shares. A total of 103.51 million BIPI shares were purchased overseas, while 36.28 million were sold. In the meantime, foreign investors sold about 42.38 million PSAB shares and bought 98.59 million shares.
PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) closed the top buy list with a net buy of 41.29 million shares. Only about 61.21 million BRMS shares were sold by foreigners, who purchased well over 102 million.
However, with a net sell of 85.89 million shares, national bank PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) topped the list of top sellers. In addition to purchasing 126.46 million BBRI shares, foreigners also sold about 212.36 million.
Following with a net sell of 55.66 million shares was another national bank, PT Bank Negara Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBNI). Although only about 14.64 million shares were bought, BBNI's foreign sales volume was 70.31 million shares
Third place went to PT Dana Brata Luhur Tbk (TEBE), with 45.28 million shares of net sell. Although they only purchased less than one million shares, foreign investors in this equity participation issuer sold about 46.27 million shares.
With a net sell volume of about 30.2 million shares each, the top sell list was concluded by the nickel mining business PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA) and the coal mining company PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk (ADRO). 9.91 million shares were purchased by ADRO's investors overseas, while 40.17 million were sold.
