Mining companies overthrew IHSG’s growth last week
JAKARTA. Some of mining companies toppled Jakarta Stock Price Composite Index’s (IHSG) growth last week, only arriving at 7,114.26 or slipping 1.13% or 81.29 points lower from the week prior.
Boy Thohir’s company, PT Alamtri Resources Indonesia Tbk (ADRO), sat at the tip of Top Laggards of IHSG last week, reporting significant decline of up to 44.53% in one week.
Then, PT Merdeka Copper Gold Tbk (MDKA) followed closely, with 10.24% decrease in price. Some other mining companies joined the list, including PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA) that suffered 9.09% drop, PT Bumi Resources Minerals Tbk (BRMS) 6.33%, PT Amman Mineral Internasional Tbk (AMMN) 5.51%, and PT Dian Swastatika Sentosa Tbk (DSSA) 2.35%.
On the other hand, Top Leaders of IHSG was led by PT Chandra Asri Pacific Tbk (TPIA), with 9.45% shift. The only mining company listed on this category was Low Tuck Kwong’s mining mogul, PT Bayan Resources Tbk (BYAN).
Last week, total transaction volume increased 31.23% to 19.89 billion compared to the week before, with total value also rising 35.53% to IDR 9.92 trillion. (KR/ZH)
