SMIL price surges, management responds

JAKARTA – PT Sarana Mitra Luas Tbk (SMIL) has seen its stock price surge by 50% year-to-date (YTD) and a remarkable 172% in the past month’s trading.
Hadi Suhermin, President Director of SMIL, clarified that the company is unaware of any material information or facts that could explain the dramatic increase in the stock price.
"We do not have any information regarding specific factors affecting the volatility of SMIL's stock price," Hadi stated in an official release to the Indonesia Stock Exchange (BEI) on Thursday (20/2).
Hadi further emphasized that no corporate actions are planned by SMIL in the near future. Additionally, he noted that there has been no activity from any significant shareholders that could impact the company's stock price.
"The company does not have any plans to undertake corporate actions within the next three months," he added.
As of today's second trading session on Friday (21/2), SMIL’s stock price stood at Rp290 per share at 15:18 WIB, down by 3.97% from the opening price of Rp302 per share. (DK/KR/ZH)
