JAKARTA – PT Surya Citra Media Tbk (SCMA), the parent company of SCTV and Indosiar, recorded a net profit growth of 77.77% year-on-year (yoy) in 2024, reaching IDR 594.85 billion, up from IDR 334.6 billion.

This achievement was driven by revenue growth, which surpassed IDR 7.06 trillion, an increase of 8.35% from IDR 6.51 trillion in 2023. SCMA’s main revenue still came from the television and multimedia sector, contributing IDR 5 trillion.

Meanwhile, the digital business also made a significant contribution, bringing in IDR 1.33 trillion. In addition, marketing and support services generated IDR 446.22 billion, and content production and support services recorded revenue of IDR 272.97 billion.

Despite SCMA’s advertising revenue slightly decreasing to IDR 6.64 trillion, the company managed to boost other income by 48% to IDR 1.59 trillion.

Moreover, the company’s efficiency measures allowed operating profit to surge by 93% to IDR 654.52 billion. Even pre-tax profit increased to IDR 801.61 billion.

However, the company’s total equity decreased to IDR 8.36 trillion, leading to a 2.15% decline in total assets to IDR 10.82 trillion, with cash or cash equivalents at IDR 2.53 trillion. (EF/ZH)
