Sight Investment gains control of Siloam Hospital through purchase of 5.85 billion shares

On Friday, September 13, PT Siloam International Hospitals Tbk (SILO) saw the purchase of over 5.85 billion shares by foreign investor Sight Investment Company Pte Limited, for a total of 7.20 billion shares recorded. Along with this purchase through PT BNI Sekuritas, the foreign investor's ownership increased dramatically from 10.4% to 55.4%. By default, Sight Investment took over as the operator of Siloam Hospital's controlling shareholder.

PT Harimas Tunggal Perkasa purchased up to 3.1 billion shares of PT Impack Pratama Industri Tbk (IMPC) on Thursday, September 12. With the addition of shares through PT Ciptadana Sekuritas Asia, this investor's share control increased to 18.86% from its previous holdings of approximately 7.13 billion shares, or 13.15% of the stakes. Impack Pratama is a company that produces plastic roofing, ceiling, and wall panels, among other building materials.

Conglomerate and controller of PT Bayan Resources Tbk (BYAN), Low Tuck Kwong, gave his daughter Elaine Low control over 7.33 billion BYAN shares on Wednesday, August 28. Elaine now owns 22% of the shares in the coal mining and contractor company, while Low Tuck Kwong's share portion decreased from 62.15% to just 40.15%. Securities firm BUT Butsche Bank AG facilitated the transaction between the two.

On Wednesday, May 29, up to 25 million shares of the automotive company PT Indomobil Sukses Internasional Tbk (IMAS) traded hands. PT Sejahtera Raya Perkasa, which owns 10.1% of IMAS, transferred the shares to PT Trimegah Sekuritas Indonesia Tbk, which now also owns approximately 10.14% of the shares. Aside from that, PT Metro Pacific Tollways Indonesia acquired nearly 80 million shares of PT Nusantara Infrastructure Tbk (META), a construction contractor, increasing the controlling share percentage from 95.92% to 95.97%.
