JAKARTA - PT Bank Maybank Indonesia Tbk (BNII) recorded Rp 1.1 trillion of net profit in the third quarter of 2019, decreased from Rp 1.5 trillion in the same period last year.
Thilagavathy Nadason, Director Finance of PT Bank Maybank Indonesia Tbk (BNII) stated that the profit decrease was due to the increase in cost production. “Corporate credit in the Global banking segment increased by 13.7%, but in overall, bank loans declined by 1.1%, which was mainly contributed by the CFS (Community Financial Services) segment amidst the weakening of the Indonesian economic condition,” she said.
According to her, the ratio of SMEs to total bank loans was 23.65% and the composite lending of productive businesses to total bank loans was 75.6%. Maybank disbursed Rp 129.81 trillion of loans, decreased from Rp 131.21 trillion within the same period last year. The third party fund was recorded at Rp 115.57 trillion, increased from Rp 110.82 trillion. (LK/W)
