JAKARTA - PT BRI Agroniaga Tbk (AGRO) will disburse loans to various segment agribusiness, except palm oil, coconut, coffee, and sugar cane. By improving its loan disbursement, the company expects for the credit to grow up reaching double-digit.

Ebenezer Girsang, President Director of PT BRI Agroniaga Tbk (AGRO) stated that the company expected that the credit could grow up to double-digit in 2020. "We continue to focus on Agribusiness, and we accelerate in diversification. In the past, we focused on palm oil, and as of now, it started to appear in coconut, sugar cane, coffee. This is what we will convert, and this is our long-term strategy," he said.

AGRO recorded Rp 18.39 trillion on loan disbursement in the third quarter of 2019, rose by 34.64% from Rp 13.66 trillion within the same period last year.  Within five years, BRI has recorded quite significant increase on loan disbursement; from Rp 4.69 trillion in 2014, to Rp 15.57 trillion in 2018.

According to him, BRI has set loan diversification for long term strategy. (LK/W)
