JAKARTA - Shareholders of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) agreed to distribute cash dividends worth Rp 20.6 trillion, or 60% of total profits (Rp 34.4 trillion) from the financial year 2019. The decision to distribute dividends was decided at the General Meeting Annual Shareholders (AGM), which took place last week.
Sunarso, President Director of PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BBRI) said that the cash dividends to be deposited in the state treasury was about Rp 11.7 trillion and the rest (Rp 8.9 trillion) would go to public shareholders. "BBRI generates a profit of Rp 279, and that had an increase by 6.1% compared to 2018; and then from Rp 279 earnings per share, 60% will be distributed to shareholders, which the dividends to be Rp 168.1 per share, up 27.2% compared to the dividend per share last year at Rp 132.2 per share, "he said.
Throughout 2019, BRI has been able to collect Rp 996.4 trillion of third party funds (DPK), growing by 7.9% compared to 2018. In addition, DPK is excluded with temporary syirkah funds, and the disbursed loans has reached about Rp 907.4 trillion, going up approximately by 8.3% compared to 2018. (LK/W)
