JAKARTA - Shareholders of PT Arwana Citramulia Tbk (ARNA) have agreed to distribute dividends for the fiscal year 2023 totaling IDR 315.68 billion. The company recorded net sales of IDR 2.45 trillion, a 5% decrease from the 2022 sales of IDR 2.59 trillion.
Rudy Sujanto, Chief Financial Officer (CFO) of ARNA, stated that shareholders have decided to pay dividends of IDR 43 per share. "This means the PE ratio is approximately 71% compared to today"s stock price (March 28) of IDR 710 per share, resulting in a dividend yield of around 6%," he said.
The net profit margin is 18%, down from 22% in 2022, with net profit for 2023 recorded at IDR 445.3 billion, a 23% decrease from IDR 576.2 billion in 2022. The return on equity (ROE) for 2023 is recorded at 24%, lower than the ROE in 2022 of around 32%.
The net profit margin of this company from 2014 to 2023 shows an increasing trend. The net profit margins for 2021 and 2023 are recorded at 18% each, while the net profit margin for 2022 is 22%, still higher amidst declining sales.
"In terms of the decrease in net profit margin or the decrease profitability, this is not due to a decrease in average selling prices because last year"s average selling price was still able to record a 2.2% increase over 2022, but the problem here is the significant increase in cost of goods sold (COGS)," he said.
